This particular sword is about as large as a useable historical based sword can get. It is an exceptional sword to have in hand, the whole sword weighing just under 5 and a half pounds. The size dictates the need to use both hands for proper form but the weight is light enough that it does not pull you out of your stance as can happen with some very large swords that are heavy.
