The area of Saxony has been associated with certain styles of weapons and armor of the late 16th century. These pieces are examples of this style of sword. They are often identified with the military style rapier or side sword carried by the soldiers of this period. This is especially true for the Guard of the Electors of Saxony.
An example done with a similar grip to our Saxon Military Sword to create a complementary piece for display with that piece.
